Is there a way to replace the brass shifter for the hand clutch without splitting the tractor? Mine is cracked and I can take the top bolt out but having trouble getting at the lower one. Thanks for any suggestions. |

I don"t think so cuz you need to rotate the lower half of the bearing, and the yoke won"t release it, unless you could loosen the yoke from the pivot shaft. Only one I did, I had the engine out and just loosened the next two castings to the rear. Needed gaskets anyway. Other way is to loosen frame from axle, and shove apart a bit using guide pins in the frame bolt holes. I&T AC 11 has some pix of that. |
