I have an old camper trailer frame I made into a hauler for my 8n
It has dexter axle on it I hate the wheel bolts it has on it
Can I put studs on axle and use lug nuts?
It's a pain to find threaded holes to put the wheel bolts on
Thank you |

You will have to find double threaded studs, not threaded in the middle, same pitch as the original lug bolts, make sure they don't interfere with the electric brakes when threaded into the hubs. Lock them into the hubs with hard setting lock-tite.
Or make up a pilot bolt that will thread in a lug hole, cut the head off and grind it to a dull point. Thread it in finger tight, hang the wheel on it, start the other bolts, remove the pilot and install the last bolt in that hole. |

Heck, make two, turn them in a few threads across from each other. Then the wheel will hang by itself. |
