Someone has an AC yard mower for sale and has no idea how old it is. I imagine it must have a few years on it for sure ...... when was the last time any yard mower was tagged with the AC brand?

AC sold a line of homeowner products for a few years then gave it up. I think that was about the late 1960s. Now those items are desired by AC collectors. I have the owners manuals for many of the outdoor products. In lawn mowers this includes the 26" and 32" Mow-Bee riders and the rotary push mowers 19", 22"; and 21" High Wheel.

They are still using the Allis Chalmers name on lawn mowers. You can still buy a brand new one.

Allis also owned Simplicity for quite a few years and the Simplicity factory took over production of the Allis/Duetz line. You would have to look at the SimpleTractors site to get the history of Allis/Simplicity. Briggs does make a lawn tractor using the Allis name but not too successful.
