I am new to Allis chalmers, just bought an old tractor but wandering where typically the serial number is located, all I can find is a engine tag, would there be a number stamp on the frame?
Any help would be appreciated.

Look around the shift lever or in the rear axle/differential area. Post a tractor pic and we can be more specific.

Depends on the model of the tractor as to where the numbers are. The C/B is up forward of the shifter and the WD/WD45 is on the left side of the rear end below the brake cover and on the D-17 it is on the left side frame and the list can go on and on
