We have just bought a ZB for 1st gear tractor pulling.Govenor internal rod has oblonged the whole in casting arm and is twisting . It was rubbing on the side of housing. We get different results every time we try it and none of them good. We ground off some of the rod so it would not rub. When we put it on a pull it falls flat on its face.Linkage is new ,adjustable and free. Are there any NOS ones available or good rebuilders in central Il. My humor is now gone.
thanks.

If the hole is oversized in the short arm inside the gov. housing you are loosing all of your gov action. There dare not be any slop in this area.

Thanks guys I sent it to Motec today. It was like it knew we where on the track.Messed up every time.At home hooked up to our 1 ton with 6x6 beam
under DMI hitch it would pull like a bear and bobble front end and dig to china with 14.9x 38
tires. The high compression head sure made it come alive.
