Hi Chris,
Just a thought here, but would it be possible/helpful to put a "Help" button on the home webpage... for instructions to post photos or web-links and how to edit post/reply content. Seems like many new users ask how to do all of the above items.

I put instructions together with some screen shots in MS Publisher and saved them as jpeg files. So if you would like to use these pictures to help people learning to use the site – feel free to do so. [I think I have all the steps correct... if not, I can go correct them and save them as a new picture and repost it to you.]

I made some steps for posting pictures using the Advanced Posting Tools. Hal

Hal and SweetFeet,

I am pondering this. The efforts are valuable here. What I thought I could do, is put links to our threads on this, especially this one. I should note (and I know you've run into this Hal), a lot of times, people won't read docs anyway. But I may put a small link on both posting forms, that will load this thread on modern view. It has to be small just because the forms already have so much space taken up, people often don't even see the Advanced posting tools.

Having a link to the thread will allow me to include the information concerning tractorshed.com since that is our preferred repository (tractorshed photos will remain as long as the post remains which isn't true with other photo sites).

I'll think more on this and work on it next time I change the posting forms.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, Hal was the first one to do it as a photo. I had typed the instructions into replies for people before... but Hal's posting of it a a photo is what gave me the idea to include the screen shots so people know what they are looking for on their computer screen.

It was a GREAT idea, Hal!
