Hello, I have a 1944 JD B standard bore with piston #b1772r (4.5")looking for opinions on the best way to wake this ol'gal up. I am planning on high compression pistons and gas manifold. Any other options or suggestions that won't break the bank. |

Get .090 over high compression pistons. Have the head redone to include a good valve job. Have the cam reground along with the cam follows. Find a carb from a very late "B", a gas manifold. make sure the distributor is up to the job (bushings, cam lobe not worn out).
Or if moneys no object put a power block in it. |
