I have a 1959 to-35 that I replaced the steering shaft seal on over the winter. It did fine until a month or so ago when I noticed steering fluid on top of the tranny again. It was not alot and it doesn't do it every time I use the tractor. I only use the tractor to drag the pasture and the wifes arena so it only runs an hour or two each time I use it. Any ideas what would make it blow past that seal? It does not drain all the fluid out when it happens.
Thanks,
Chris |

Maybe the shaft needed cleaning up with emory cloth. Lots of people have put a zerk fitting and replaced the fluid with grease. |
