|
|
I need to remove the hub on one of the rear axles in order to access the brakes. The shaft has a big nut on the outside and I'm wondering if this shaft is tapered and would require a massive puller for the hub removal? Input from anyone who may have done this procedure is much appreciated. I don't have a manual for this machine. |

I don't know anything about the Champion grader, but the old Cat graders are like you describe and you need a big puller. You could make one buy drill holes in a big bar and using threaded rod in the holes provided in the hub. That is what I did on my Cat 12. |
