well the concave shape on each side of the hood says it is a MH50 not MF which doesn't matter much. He doesn't say if it's live PTO which does matter. The engine and drive train is exactly the same as a 35 so it's not 45hp more like 32hp.
I don"t see any power steering. So if you wanted one real bad I guess the price is OK. But I don"t think it"s a bargain.

Boy if this was a 40 eh? Yep, with that hood, it might have been a bronze belly? I'll tell ya, in general, the set of power adjust 38's would be be worth a grand, the sheet metal looks mint, and I bet it runs as good as it looks. There are worst ways to blow 2500 bucks. I'd check it out in person.

I just sold a Massey Harris 50 (which this is) with wide front (unlike this one) for $2150. Mine did not have the good paint but it did have two great rear tires (which this does not). I think he is a little high even if you want a narrow front, which I wouldn't. Mine had the two stage clutch (live PTO), and as far as I know all of them did, but you should check that for sure. The grill won't be cheap.

i have never owned or driven a narrow front tractor. he live's 90 miles away so most likely i will pass on it, but it is tempting.

I wouldn"t pay that price as it stands. New left/right grills will probobly run $350 and the headlights and wings are not there. No pictures of the right side so we can"t tell if it still has the original generator with the tach drive or if its got an alternator, which usually means a dead tach. I suppose some would say the narrow front is more rare, but that only pays if you find someone who really wants one.
