Kohler blowing oil

CV14 Kohler started blowing oil out thru muffler,have not examined yet(friends unit).Any thoughts on causes?Still runs.

Have you checked the oil level? Its probably way over full and/or contaminated by gasoline.

Yes first check the oil level. If it majically has raised overnight your carburetor may be flooding over and going in to your cylinder then leaking into the crankcase. Don't run the engine anymore until the gas is completely removed from the system! It is a very poor lubricant!!
If the level is normal you might have broken a piston ring, this will cause lack of compression, and ultimately when the spark plug gets oil soaked it will not spark anymore. Other causes could be leaking valve stems which would require a rebuild.
