Yep nice day but we could still use a bit more rain. I got just shy of a 1/2 inch yesterday also but still not enough rain to get the hay up to the point I can cut it yet LOL |

I think the beauty of fall has a calming effect after the rush of the growing season. I am cutting all week in beutiful weather, just love it. Still have all the stress from the drought this summer but I am ignoring so I can mow and have some fun. |

Hey Pard, hows it been going in your part of the world? Hay is scarce as hens teeth here, put in some sorgum sudan and since the rain its been going like gangbusters. Also the trefoil has been seeding like the dickens. It is alot more green here than it has been since May. |

I got a few 1/2" showers in the last week and it perked up the timothy and orchard grass. Still not quite tall enough to rake, but the alfalfa is knee high and blooming. Hope for a good splash of rain the end of the week to push the grass up.
Been getting a ton of calls for hay..after inheriting my Daughters two horses (they are moving to England for two years) I need the hay and don"t have a bale to sell! |

Baling hay all week. Doing 2nd on my grass/mix and trefoil and got all the 3rd cut alfalfa done a couple weeks ago. Things have really started growing since August 1. Still have about half the winter hay I need for my brood cows. Not sure what I am gonna do about that |
