is the 1655 trans lube pump chain driven in thees and how many hours do they normaly last. can you hear or tell any way there getten worn and if it breaks is it gona freez up thanks |

pump is direct drive off counter shaft. you can check lube pressure. there is a plug by filter you can tap in to. |

thanks if it fails does trans go i heard in older tractors theres enouff wear if there plenty of oil its usaly ok unless worken real hard or somethans to tight thanks |

It also helps if you are operating the tractor in neutral like for some PTO work, place the gearshift in low range.Get a sender and wire yourself a light on the dash so you know when the lube pump is running. |
