i have a 44 John Deere A that i can"t seem to get running right. If you know anyone around the central-southern part of Illinois that works on them. Please let me know. Its been 3 years since its ran right and i"m tired of dicking with it. The old try this if not try that has wore thin.

Clean the carburetor and adjust, do a compression test and set the valves, make sure the magneto makes a good spark and the wires and plugs are good, and check the timing. Also check to see if the air pipe is open, sometimes insects and the like will crawl in and built nests and block your air supply. Should run unless something is broken in the engine.
