I’m trying to put a new gage package on my 4000 and I can’t locate the port for the water temperature fitting.
I also would like to know if its permissible or recommended to blow out the oil pressure line leading to the gage. If so does it bleed itself or should I bleed it? |

The temperature sensor port is at the extreme lower left corner of the cylinder head as viewed from the spark plug side.
Yes, you can blow out the oil pressure gage line if you like but I would recommend disconnecting it at the engine fefore doing so.
You need not bleed the air from the line but the gage will be more responsive if you do.
