My friend has a mid 1983 2910 that has a wiring problem. I found that one of the male bullet connectors had corroded off on the plug for front wire harness. What is the best repair, add a new separate wire or will scotch locks work for this? It is the wire with fusible link that supplies power to the switch. I know the best would be new front harness but Messick"s price is over seven hundred. gosh

Just cut the wires off close to the connector and make a jumper to go around. I'd probably use blade connectors. I will not use scotches anymore... They're cheap and they always bite you in the hole later on.

Thanks Rod, I'll pick up some spade connectors and go that way.
