I have already started looking for a replacement for my '66 gasser. Obviously I will have to keep it off site until I get some issues and security in line.
I have found a 1974 3000 gasser. Under 3000 hours I am told, 8 speed, new paint after an electrical problem (had the same problem), good tires.
This tractor is at a dealer and I think they are asking around 6 thou. If it is mechanically sound is that a fair price for a clean machine. |

Depends on your local market... For here I'd say that's probably a couple grand too much for a 3000 gas job. That should buy a pretty decent 4000 diesel here. I'd look at any Dupont restoration with a very critical eye, particularly if it's on a tractor jockie's lot.
