|
|
anyone know if a woods dual 260 will fit a 7610s. I was told it was taken off a 7610 ( no s )
if it will fit an 'S' would the brackets be the same?
i assume i'd have to loose my front wafer weight pile too, from the looks of it..
thanks |

The brackets are likely to be somewhat different. Mabey not a lot.... but enough to give you a bad day.
I think it could be fitted without too much work tho.
If you put the loader on you'll not be needing weight on the front anyway.

looking at the trans on my 5000 and 7610s.. they look darn similar. if the 7610 was similar too.. it might work. |

They ~are~ very similar... but don't depend on them being exact. The transmission mounts probably are exactly the same. If this loader requires a front bolster mount tho... that could be different. Just do some carefull measuring.
It's just that you must remember the 10's' tractors are not really 10 series tractors. They're a hodge podge of 10 and 40 series parts made up and styled to look like a 10.... and it's be the damndest things that will trip you up on a project like this. Nothing major I'm sure but something annoying.
You could get lucky and it'll bolt right directly on too...

yep..the 's' is more like a bit of a stripped powerstar right?
i'll take some bolster measurements from my 5000 and compair to the 10s
can i asusme the bolster on my 5000 and a 7610 are similar pattern? i don't have a 7610 to compair to, and the guy selling the laoder says it came off a 7610 etc.
i'd LOVE to have a heavy-er loader around the place.. and one on that 90ish hp tractor would be great come hay roll season ( now ) |

It's more or less a stripped powerstar. The castings on a bare powerstar are basically the same as a 10... but yours got 10 series controls rather than the electrics on the powerstar.
The front bolster ~should~ be the same.
Also consider that a 5000 will be slightly different again. There are differences and different mounts for those things all through the years.
The main thing working for you here is that you've got a 2WD basic tractor and as long as that's what it came off of you're probably good to go. If it came off a MFWD 10 series.... ALL, and I do mean ALL bets are off.
