I did it on my 1850 and it works great. My directions will be from sitting on the tractor seat. Unscrew the 1/2 or 3/4" pipe plug facing the front and to the left of the hydraulic fluid dip stick. Look in that hole an you will see a smaller hole with threads about 4-5 inches back inside. I think it is a 1/4" and needs to be a female pipe plug. Thread it in to that. Use a socket extension to thread it back there. Then attach your hydraulic hose to the 1/2 or 3/4 hole that covers the 1/4 socket hole. Then look on the left side of the hydraulic unit about at the same height as the first hose, but faces the fender. This is a 1/2 or 3/4" pipe plug. I think it is the return. I am technologically challenged, so I don't know how to post a picture. I call the 1/2- 3/4 plugs because I can't remember which one of those sizes it is.
You should drain down your hydraulic fluid before starting the process |

I'll try and get some pictures of my 1850 power beyond hydraulic lines tomorrow. Mine comes out the front port and is plumbed in a 90* so the pressure line to the loader valve runs behind the seat to the right side. But as stated installing the internal plug is required. One thing to consider, the oliver pump out put is not that much. I have a JD 260 loader on my machine and need more GPM to get a reasonable speed lifting the loader. Mr. Schubert mentioned using the engine speed PTO drive to run a bigger pump. I'm getting things together now to try it out this winter. Check the hydraulic capacity requirements for your loader, the Oliver pump may be lacking. PK |
