Is there a shut off under the fuel tank that has a wing connection on it instead of the screw slot type?

The early fuel shut off valve had a wing-nut style screw on it, I believe. That's what is shown in my 901 series owners' manual. Later, they went to the slotted-screw type. Still later, they went to the "flip-type" which had a lever that snaps closed. That one uses a larger fuel line as well so they're not interchangeable.

I believe that's right, if not someone here will correct me.

None of which I am aware but you can convert to the lever style valve (not recommended) if you like.

I keep a small but long screw driver in the tool box.

GlenIdaho fabricated this solution and gave it to all of us to copy and use as we see fit. Might work for you.
