While putting my engine together I realized the two water jacket plugs in the head are rusted through. I can"t find anything like it to replace them. Any ideas? Plus i can"t find my valve cover.... anyone got a spare?

An engine rebuilder should have a wall of bins of different size freezeplugs, something should fit close, gosh they are pounded in with a big hammer. As for the cover.... when you lose something that big...it's time to clean the shop! I suprise myself with what else I find in the process.

its not a freeze plug, its a jacket plug.. its threaded and has an alan wrench fitting on the back side to screw them out. Perkins part number 065085 is what I found.
