hey guys
just picked up a mf 85 gas,has cont. e 223 engine. i'm waiting for part manual and was wondering what is mounted on the side of the oil pan. i'm assuming some type of gauge/sensor anybody who has one could you let me know what it is. also, seeing in repair manuals for the 85 they refer to the e242 engine which they switched to mid way, i would assume you cant use that spec info or repair concerns for the e223.

I do not think my 85 has anything in the side of the pan like that. Regarding the 223 vs the 242 they are very similar and any tune up specs would be the same.
