I have a 953 gear that is missing a few parts from a down hill run away a few years ago. The hitch is gone as it drove into the ground and was bent/ ripped off. The center extension pipe was also bent and has been scraped. One of the rims is bent, and one of the bolsters is missing. The rest of the axles and hubs and tie rods are in good condition.
Should I try to post this on the classifide ads / craigslist, or scrap the whole thing? If I will be farther ahead selling it for parts how much should I sell it for?

Just to help you out, I bought a 1955 and later 953 running gear in July for $400. Tires were so-so and since I will be restoring I am putting new tires on it. Just letting you know the value of a complete wagon.

If I were you thought I would at least put it on Craiglist with pictures, your not out anything and maybe someone can use it. At least save the rims, as you see people looking for them occasionally.

Also does it have the JD stamped hubs or is it the later style without the JD stamped hubs?

I am located in northern New York near Watertown. The gear does have the JD on the cast hubs.

What did you end up doing with this? Your's is the earlier style with JD hubs, if so and has the right style rim I would be interested in a rim if you had one. Thanks
