Dear Sirs:
I have a question. I am restoring the 1948 8N and need to know what 6V original generator and pulley diameter applies. I have the original 3 wire harness.
Your response would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you.

i do not have my part books here, but look in the parts section of this site.you could probably find what you need to know there, as far as the generator goes, maybe not the pulley diameter though. for some reason 3 1/2 " comes to mind but i could be wrong. |

I went out and looked on my '48 8N and measured my 3 wire genny pulley. Jackinok is correct at 3.5 inches across the pulley. |

Lee | 1948 is not enough info to identify which generator it would have left the factory with. It could have been 8N10000A (through serial #137684) or 8N1000B(serial #137685 thru #263843). |

Be interested in your response. Thanks. |
