Ok, I am giving up on my tank. I had rust in the tank, took it off cleaned and used the Red Cote system and still have rust in tank. It is still clogging the screen and the filter. Are the aftermarket tanks good quality? I am throwing in the towel and going to buy one. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks,

hint... you done done something wrong.
red kote should have entirely coated the innards.
red kote don't rust.
if you are still getting rust.. you didn't coat the interior correctly. |

Funny but I just listed one in the classifieds here. Gas tank but easily converted to diesel.
They do list one here in the parts dept at YT.
I have bought two of those replacement tanks for a 4000/4600 - not from YT but from another source.
I was a little leery - thought they may be a cheap, flimsy knock off but they were as heavy weightwise as the original. I would not hesitate to buy another if I needed it.
