I have one of the fast opening Gerber knives, spring assist ,(read switchblade) . It has a 3 1/4 inch blade with a serrated section about 1 1/4 inches long at the base of the blade, After lots of sharpening the serrated is losing it's face . Where can I get a round file about 3/32 diameter or less, to dress those grooves? |

A chainsaw shop should have something close to that size if not find some place that sells needle files, they usually come as a set with various shapes of files but there will be some round and half round files in the set. |

Gordo, for about $ 3 postage, you can send it back, and they will put a new blade on it for you! And likely it will be back to you, in a week! They have phenomenal customer service, just google the address for returns. |

i have one of those also,i have it in a sheath on my rifle sling. good knives. Mine doesnt have the serrated section though (which i dont like on a knife) so you may be able to return it to the factory and have it swapped if you dont like this. |

I use a diamond hone and sharpen serrations from the back side only. |

Sounds like the way to go. Seems like I read that a few years ago, just didn't remember to do it. |
