Got a 530 with mind of its own here.Seems at start up wheel wants to turn to left on its own ? Looked in couple of old manuals and thought maybe would try to loosen bolts slightly on side of sector and tap slightly either way to center. Did not work. In process of making adapter to check pressure of system . Any ideas greatly appreciated thanks. |

Mark the middle of piece, you moved in your post. with a corousponding mark on the housing it bolts to. For conversations sake, I'm talking about the piece that is located on top of the power steering housing, that houses the shaft that the steering shaft is pened to. When you move it 1/32 or less it can make a huge difference. There is a very, very small sweet spot. Don't take all the tension off the four bolts, so that it will only move with the tap of a hammer. if this don't work there are internal parts that need attention. |

If it wants to turn one way on its own, the steering valve needs to be centered. You can either tap it one way or the other till it stops, or attach a gauge inline on the pressure line and tap the valve housing either way until you get the lowest reading on the gauge. |
