|
|
Howdy, boys:
Is the Ford 3600 Diesel considered a good model tractor? Or, is it one of those models that every manufacturer seems to build on rare occasion which does not measure up to the usual high quality? Also, any bad traits or particular issues (ex: weak steering design, troublesome lift, etc.?)
Thanks in advance.

better than a 3000, good 3 cyl engine.. front axle is stil th weak link and dry brakes. move up to a 4600 and you've got a good hd machine.. even good for a loader...
still.. 3600.. not bad |

Hi Red
I would buy one in a heartbeat, (depending on what abuse it has had) They are a great tractor.
They run around 40 HP, usually have an 8 speed transmission.
The diesel engine is quite easy on fuel too.
Regards

I own one with a loader on it. As SouNdguy stated the front axle is pretty light for heavy loader work, but for most of the light work I do with it around here it is great. Overall really nice package. No real weak points other than the axle mentioned. Lots of positives.
Go pick it up if the price is right.
