Close in HP but if the 35 has the Standard Motors engine, the 231 is a superior tractor. With the Perkins engines, the 231 would be direct injection and start easier with better fuel economy than the 35 with indirect injection. |

my 35 1964 has the 3 cylinder perkins

The 231 would have some more modern features but wouldn't be a significant HP gain. |
