First time poster here. I am starting the process of restoring my 1952 John Deere G. I would like to add fenders to it. Parts book shows that round top fenders were used up until serial number 41667 and then clam shell fenders were used. My tractor has the rounded axles not the square axle, thats where i get confused. I thought rounded axles got the round top fenders and square axles got clam shells? Just wanted to make sure I put the correct style on it! Thanks for all your help! |

G"s never had square axles,so to add the clamshell fenders there was a bracket you had to have for them to bolt to. It will show them in the parts manuel |

Thanks for you help. How close are the aftermarket fenders to the originals? |
