1941 B serial# 115914 to be exact. I"ll be completely astounded if I"m able to track it down. It was my Grandpa"s. I have ano idea when it left the farm. I"m guessing late 40s or 50s. TIA |

This would've been in West Central IL, more specifically, in the Quincy area. The B was what my mother learned to drive a tractor on. Dad and I have been wanting to find a B to fix up for Mom, but at that time we weren't sure of the year. We originally thought it was a '37, but after finding a repair invoice dated 1943 for his B that had the serial # written on it we found that it was a '41. Now that we have the ser # it would be sweet to find "that" one. I don't knkow if he sold it off the farm or traded it. My earliest reccollections of his machinery were a 50, a 720 and a Ford 2000. Those 3 were sold at his auction in the early 80's. The B was gone long before I entered this world. |
