Yes they're nice 65-70 pto hp tractors if they've had proper maintenance. Side console models('69-'72) are the more desirable ones.

Over 87000 made so there should be quite a selection of good ones left.70 h.p.very handy ,the diesels do to their design dont run as smooth as a 4020.Resale on late side counsel is more than new. They are 6 in shorter than 4020 and for the little extra money I like 4020s a little better.Main thing is get someting good mechanically as tracors under $10K can get spendy to fix.Trouble is free so I hate to pay for it.

Larryanderson is right, for the money the 4020 is far superior. Trouble with 3020 is the synchro crash trans is not the greatest, and if you get one with the better powershift trans, it will really make the 3020 feel like a slug. On the other hand, the 4020 side console diesel with the powershift is an awesome tractor!

Many farmers used JD tractors with a Syncro-range trans for 1000's of hours with great success. Also many 1000's of tractors were sold with a Syncro-range trans.
