I went to First annual tractor ride this morning. I loaded my latest SH and headed to Methodist Church where ride started. I failed to check trailer tires on right side of trailer. I had low tire and did not feel it. about 3 miles down the road the tire blew out ; but I could'nt see it. 3 more miles I make a right turn and see that it is blown. I limp on to the parking lot another 2 miles at 25 mph using second axle. I did not realize it intermittently was rubbing rear tire on SH. I pulled into tractor ride parking with Flat on trailer still supported by second axle and a hole rubbed in Rear tire of SH and ballast leaking out.
Mine was the only red tractor that came for the ride and I missed it.
Well we will have second annual next year and I will be better prepared and educated. |
