The shaft that goes through the tractor to drive the left side brake is seized up. Unfortunately the shaft runs through the center of the tractor. Seems like a very poor design decision. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to break it free. Included is a photo of the shaft.

My 2010 had a similar problem, but not totally seized. Happened after it had been sitting outside between hayfields. I was able to work it somewhat loose with a pipe wrench on the casting attached to the left end of the shaft, and with repeat applications of copious amounts of PB Blaster from both sides. I keep the PB spray can on the tractor and spray it every time I use it. Need to split the tractor this winter for clutch and ring gear work so plan to attack it more then.
