case1070 shuting down

With tractor runing depresing the clutch causes a engine shut down.

leave it set and talk with mEl , or some of the other Case power Shift Gurus that hang out here ,, lot of good info here ,i am just a dumPharmer/and know what NOT TO DO ..

C-1 pilot stuck open can cause this problem. C-1 piston did not release or the clutch plate split. Will the tractor move OK in low and second and kill the engine in high speed?

Unable to put into gear. As soon as you put the clutch in engine shutdown.

While any of the pilot spools can stick ussually it is c3 the culprit when you have that symtom. They can be freed up without removing the entire valve but history has taught me if one needs cleaning take the time and clean the whole darn valve. If you are not familar with this valve one should have a CASE pro service it or get the factory manual. Cleanliness and proper torque are very important and change filters and possibaly hyd oil.
