Does anyone have a better idea on sealing the oil filter housing on a Farmall H other than the rubber ring? |

That gasket needs to be changed with every filter change. A new gasket is furnished with every new oil filter, why not use it? |

Been there, done that on every old Farmall I ever bought, and never could figure out why that gasket hadn't been changed with every filter change. It takes about 3 seconds to remove the old one and install the new one. |
