I"m trying to take the Final Drive off of an International 500 C Crawler. I think it"s year 1975. The problem is there is oil leaking from the final drive into the steering clutch housing. I have 2 questions:
First: If I pull the drive pinion out and remove the Final drive housing, will I then have access to the seal that keeps the oil in the final drive?
Second: I"m having trouble getting the final drive housing off. I"ve taken the bolts on the outside off, but the housing will not budge. Are the bolts that run from the inside out and thread into the final drive housing? Which means I will need to pull the sterring clutches out to get to these bolts.. |
