I just started to restore a 656 utility and the hood over the gas tank is fiber glass,what's the best way to take off the old paint without destroying the fiberglass? Thanks for any help. PETE.

I"ve used acetone. Once it softens the paint it will take it off pretty quick.
I wouldn"t use anything mechanical.
