i have a flat fender 112 with kohler engine. someone before i got it messed around with the governor adjustment. i have the governor shaft and arm adjusted now and am trying to adjust the throttle properly. the spring on the governor shaft arm is in the bottom hole and the engine revs way to high. where should this spring be positioned? there is a hole about the middle that looks slightly worn |

I always go with the wear pattern, but I don't think it is safe to guess at how many other adjustments and tweaks have happened to your engine. You can download the manual for that engine from the Kohler website. It's free, and includes rebuild and tuning instructions. Look under Classic Engines. |
