Does the very 1st SH production tractor of 1954 hold more value than normal?
I have found serial #22202 for sale and this site as well as tractor data.com say this is the first serial number for 1954.

Not to me it wouldn't.

Search the archives. If I'm remembering correctly that tractor was discussed before. I don't think it has the original motor in it and looked like it had a H carb. For sale in AZ, maybe Tucson?

I would also be very skeptical and looks for lots of evidence to corroborate that it is in fact the 1st one in 54.

Serial # plates are easy to duplicate.

It is in Yuma and the plate is not clear at all except the stamped numbers

It might be worth more if it were the first EVER Super H.Otherwise,I would not think so.PS,your 'pile' of plows and parts is getting bigger..... Smile

Will you be available this weekend. The wife is off and we are talking about driving up that way. She wants to see 4 corners and it's not that much farther to Delta

Yeah, it's just a curiosity more than anything. "Hey neat, this one's the first one made in 1954."

It would make the job easy for those guys who think the serial number listed in the chart is the ONLY serial number for that year...
