Can anyone help me out? I was thinking about swapping a 400 or 450 motor into my M for extra cubes with plans on a bigger build down the road. Will they bolt right in? Like most of you, i have hopes of "the big motor" at some point. Was justwondwring if this was a possible start... thanks for the help

Yes it will bolt right in.

The only difference is the breather hole in the back of the head. A C-281 head will not have it.

One other thing. The bolt pattern for your distributor drive on the front cover may be different. The late Ms and Super Ms had the same pattern as the 400 & 450. You can also use the front cover off your M. I am uncertain why they changed it except it may have had something to do with the live pump.
