Hi guys.... a few mounths ago i bought a 706 with 263 engine. overhauled it and put alittle paint on it...not a parade tractor....have a chance to buy a ih 710 semi mount plow at a really good price in good shape. it is 4/18s ..Now im sure that it wont pull that in southern MN. in the black sicky soil here but im wondering if it would do alright if i knocked it down to 3/18s if that would do it.... or what do you guys pull with a 706 263 gas engine? Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks Morry |

I would take it down to a 3-18 that should be about right for the 706. |

I have the same tractor and I use a overum 3/18 and it pulls it through medium clay fairly easily. I've used 4/16 and it pulled it but not without difficulty. |
