Has anybody recently worn a new pair of Baffin boots? I had a pair of Baffins a long time ago and I remember that they were really high quality. I got an email coupon for 11% off boots today (DD100412 if you want to use it), and I just want to know if they are still a good brand before I purchase some. I know how things that used to be good can go downhill. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

See: http://www.Link-Disallowed.com/c-146896-footware.aspx for examples

Thanks!

- Harold

I got a pair sort of like "Titan" on the web link. Don't wear them too often, kept them in the work truck for when we had snow at the radio sites. Seem to be fine, pretty comfortable. Don't know how they would do in real cold weather. Thick felt liner that stayed in place well.

I have a year old pair & love them. I would buy another pair if these ever wear out. Gerald

I wore them for years, but the quality has slipped quite a lot. Mine were cracking where they bend for the toes in a couple months. I ended up going with surplus Mickey Mouse boots. Far, far, far warmer than anything I've ever worn, wear like iron. They are heavy though and you can't tuck your pants into them. Cost about $30.00 off Ebay.

I just got a pair of Sorels my FIL had, probably 30-40 years old. What a difference in quality from then to now. I won't touch Sorels anymore. Garbage. VEey sad for what was once a fine boot company.

Good thing about the mickeys is you can wash them or spray them with alcohol and/or lysol when they start walking on their own......
