Going to rebuild my Dads ford 8000 with the 301 motor does anyone have any advice good or bad before i start this project. |

Yes, don't go too deep into it without giving the block a good cleaning so that you can check the water jacket. Plenty of the old 401s had perforation due to cavitation, soft water, lack of coolant additive. etc. |
