First of all, I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving...
I did a little research on the subject, and found not all Canadians do observe the holiday.
Wondering since your holiday is a thanksgiving of the harvest,...why don't the French Canadians observe it as a holiday?? don't they farm as well?
We still have Granges , and fire halls that have thrasher-mans...(usually around October) dinners to observe our end of harvest . and the actual Thanksgiving in November, is in honor of the pilgrims. |
