Son caved in and called a couple of tire shops. FS wanted $300 to mount 4 tires and another shop that my brother frequently uses wanted $138. I wouldn't look at them for that. We were getting the rims ready for him to come the next day and found two of them were the wrong size. Cancel tire guy. Back to work on the tire that we started on. Long story short we got it on tonight with a lot of Dawn dish soap, cheater pipe on tire irons and a lot more muscle. Couldn't come up with any tire soap tonight. Altoghter about 4 hrs. in one tire. Maybe on to the next tire this weekend. We'll see if we have improved with experience. He is going to find wider rims for the duals. Thanks for all the input from everyone. |
