What a end to the summer season! It couldent go better were I am. Got first cutting hay done in June/July. Grass slowed right down, it was dormant in July from no rain, I was worried about mowing the horses pasture. We have 3 horses on about 5 or more acres. Well I made second cut hay on labor day, made mulch hay, and mowed the horses pasture. Then we had a good amout of rain. The grass in the pasture now in October looks great, nice lush tender grass, the horses love it. Now looks to be getting cold, frost will stop the grass growth. Oh well a great end to summer. |
