Hey I am up in Northeastern Wyoming and I have a question regarding my hay field. Over the past 4 years, the field has gone from good hay yield to low hay yield. I am sure it needs to be replanted but in the meantime, can I just use a shank plow or something to turn up the ground a little but still allow hay production next summer? Thanks! |

What kind of hay?
If you're talking about brome grass, a light discing to cut up some of the grass crowns will sometimes help. |

Get the soil tested, I would expect it is low on nutrients if you have not managed that recently. |
