Now that I have the 1160 I may be willing to trade my 77 pull type combine for a 300 chopper. Anyone interested? Posted a pick to remind you how really, really nice it is. It's not for sale tho, will only be interested in trades.

I'm not sure how much you want a 300, but I have two. I pulled one from a yard, mainly to get it's pick up head and a couple missing shields. It would need work to be operable, and a head. I know where IH heads for it could be bought though.

I wouldn't mind making some repairs, but would want it mostly complete. How much do you want and where is it?

I know I would miss it, but I haven't been able to find a chopper. Been looking for a long time. Thats why I would sacrifice the 77. I would buy one if I can find one.

I don't think price would be the issue, scrap price would be fine. But,it has issues, and it's sitting in Pennsylvania. I just want to see it saved. Plus if it stays, I might be tempted to fix it! I looked for a while to find one 300, and ended up tracking down the same unit twice, which I finally bought. Then when I saw this one with a pick up head, I bought the whole thing out of the yard. The three others I know of are all in collections and going nowhere soon.

Here is a pic of the unit after it was loaded, and while in the salvage yard. Yes, the idiots torched a piece out of the back of the housing just to steal a knife. When I go back I will have them torch me a section of an IH unit to fix the housing. The rear cover is missing, and the chute is broken. They have a lot of the IH units there to provide parts. I basically bought it to get the pick up head, and two chain shields this summer. If you even want to consider such a machine, call me (717)-515-4729
