The book says to use type F ATF in the Hydro-Stat on my 6600. I have Dextron 111/ Mercon ATF. Will this work as Type F or do I need to stop and get some Type F??? Chris

If you are just topping it off then I would go and get the Type F. I was always told that the Dextron would ruin the seals in the hydro.
If you are changing the entire system that I would just replace it with JD low viscosity Hy-guard. That is what JD recommended when they switched years ago. I have actually had the Low viscosity oil help a weak hydro.
